You may be limited by the amount you can carry in but with the proper planning that comes with a guided trip provided by Bill Slaughter you will eat well and sleep in quality tents and bags.

Slaughter doesn't believe that an excursion into the BWCAW requires a PHD in survival training. As far as he is concerned a trip to one of the United States most beautiful wilderness regions should be an enjoyable experience with many wonderful memories.

Summer camping in the BWCAW means paddling on lakes that are full of walleyes, perch, northern pike and smallmouth bass. Fishing is a popular pursuit on the lakes in the BWCAW so bring your favorite spinning or fly rod, Slaughter will provide the rest. Hiking the limestone bluffs in the back country is also a favorite pastime so bring some rugged waterproof hiking shoes. Hikers can expect to find signs of deer, bear and even wolf and donąt forget those binoculars for some outstanding bird watching. Visitors to the BWCAW can be hypnotized by the northern lights as they dance in front of the golden hue of the campfire. As always expect to be lulled to sleep by the eerie cry of the lonesome loon.
