View Photo Gallery Here It should come as no surprise that there are many individuals who choose to spend time during the winter months behind a group of dogs pulling a sled full of gear to a camping spot in the BWCAW. The air is crisp and cold but the gear you wear provides the necessary warmth to keep you comfortable. The fishing can be outstanding. Northern pike, walleyes, and lake trout are all active in that cold water covered with ice.
Bring along a pair of cross-country skis or a set of snowshoes and you can take to the woods and explore. What you will discover are the deer trails that weave through the landscape and the wolf tracks that follow close behind. The scenery changes in the winter, but it is just as beautiful.
